Buck Needs Your Help

Buck in 2011 Snow Buck_sick

Meet Buck – a 5 year old American Bulldog that was diagnosed as having a calcified disk that ruptured into his spinal column.  The first picture was last year before he got sick.  The bottom picture was taken a short while ago – when he was first diagnosed.  He has chronic pain that can only be fixed with surgery, which is expected to cost $3,500.  The family cannot afford the surgery, so FCHS is asking for donations to help.  Buck is a very sweet, gentle dog and the family cannot bear the thought of him suffering or possibly losing him if they cannot get the surgery.  Please help him walk again.

* All donations are tax deductible. Checks may be made payable to Floyd County Humane Society and specify Buck’s surgery fund on the memo line.  If you choose to use paypal, please e-mail floydhumane09@yahoo.com and let us know that you have made a donation (include donation amount) to  Buck’s surgery fund so that we will know how to apply your donation.

CrackerThank-you to everyone that donated to help Cracker.  He can now have his surgery!!!

His story... a 3yr old Lab mix. Before going into the Pound (& rescued), Cracker was badly treated.  His left front elbow got an infection and the owners did not attend to it right away.  The untreated infection left him with muscles and tendons unable to hold the elbow totally in place.  He was also shot at and has buckshot throughout him body.

Cracker's left hip was hit with a baseball bat and left him with a fracture at the neck of the femur and it still has not totally healed and gives him a lot of pain. Cracker needs a total hip replacement in order to have a good quality of life - without pain.
