At the Pound- URGENT!!!!!!

Animals at the Floyd County Dog Pound can only be held for a very short time. If you are interested in any of these dogs, inquire about them immediately - DON'T WAIT! Call 745-9365. Click on the photos for more information about each dog.

To adopt call the pound at 540-745-9365 or Debbie at 819-9167 or janrose@swva.net asap.

If you can help these dogs by giving them a temporary home, call Debbie to inquire about fostering for the Floyd County Humane Society. Most of these dogs have been at the pound way past their time limit and because the pound is full, are in urgent need of a home.Please call Scottie at 745-9365 during regular business hours.

In Foster Care

Animals in our foster system are kept at Society member's homes until they are adopted. Oftentimes, these dogs will receive their vaccinations and be spayed or neutered prior to adoption. In addition, they may commonly be housebroken and respond to basic commands.

4 ½ yr old male neutered pit bull named Spain,

I have a child now and can no longer keep him along with that
we are selling our home and can not take him. I would be willing to pay for
his Rabies shot which is the only vaccine he needs at the moment. He is very loving to me and
loves women.
