Captain Jack is in search of a new forever home because his former owner is in hospice care. He is a super friendly, snugly lap cat, that is accustomed to being indoor/outdoor. He does wants to be an only cat. He is healthy, neutered, and up to date on vaccines.

Do your children need a cuddly dog buddy? Because Eli may be the perfect dog for your family!!
Mr. Eli is about 6 months old and is just the softest little cuddle bug currently weighing in at 18lbs. He loves to be right by your side everywhere you go, and is a very smart little pup. He does great with other dogs and cats (but loves to play and might get on an older dogs nerves a bit). He is great with children!
He is currently at a fabulous foster home where they say he is a very fast learner, crate trained, doesn’t nip like most puppies, and is picking up on the potty training thing very fast!
Please contact Carol with the Floyd County Humane Society at email@example.com if you would like to...
Sometimes it takes a village to save a dog... Samson is now living the good life in Maine. He is one lucky dog!
***Update on Samson: He is going to a coonhound rescue the weekend of 6/29! We wish him all the love and happiness he deserves!***
Samson is a handsome fella with beautiful long ears! He is an affectionate young Treeing Walker Coonhound mix who gets along well with other dogs. He really REALLY wants attention from people. Samson is about one year old, and he would love to be your best friend and take long walks or runs with you.
If you would like to meet Samson, current foster dog of the Floyd County Humane Society, please contact Carol: firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!
Jasper is a handsome Catahoula hound who makes deep eye contact with you, loves to play, is house-trained. Jasper is about 1.5 years old and doesn't seem to have any issues with cats (we cannot not say for certain as every home situation is different).
This handsome young man needs a job as your best buddy, and perhaps working on your farm as well. Jasper’s former owner told us that he is trained for sit (pointer finger), lay down (closed fist), and stay (palm open), and he hasn’t worked cattle yet. We found that he is smart and listens well.
He loves chasing a ball, and recently started fetching with our volunteers! Jasper is recovered from his neuter and eye surgery and is ready to meet you...
Ever wanted your own pet baby wolverine? This is your opportunity. New Floyd County Humane Society foster dog Sassy doesn’t behave like a baby wolverine (and she doesn’t even behave “sassy,” either), but she sure does look like one! Sassy is a very gentle girl, and her only wild animal-like quality is that she will lean on you, or climb on your lap, to get a BEAR HUG. She is about 1 to 2 years old, house-trained, 45 pounds, needs tons of love and brushing, and just arrived from the pound.
Betty is about 3, was found as a stray, and has lived with other cats. She is a very playful girl and loves everyone she meets. Betty will stand on her hind legs and high five you or headbutt you for attention. She is healthy, up to date on vaccines, spayed, negative for FELV/FIV.
