UPDATE: LINCOLN IS ON HIS WAY TO A NEW HOME THROUGH LAB RESCUE!
Meet Lovable Lincoln the Lab, a new foster of the Floyd County Humane Society! This handsome yellow lab is ready to be your hiking, running or walking partner. Lincoln is about 2 years old and not lacking in energy. He seems comfortable around other dogs and adores people. Well, he’s a lab, right? Please contact Joyann at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to meet Lincoln!
You’re gonna love these two little guys! Schnauzer mixes, each weighs about 11 to 12 pounds. They are one to two years old and are very relaxed around people and other dogs. They walk well on leashes and are the perfect size for carrying under an arm, and they seem quite happy with that.
Scotty is slightly larger and blonder. Teddy is slightly smaller, darker, and has black tips on his ears. These dogs are current fosters of the Floyd County Humane Society. We would like for them to be adopted together but will consider single adoptions. Please contact Sarah at email@example.com if you would like to meet Scotty or Teddy! If you are seriously interested in adopting one or both dogs, please...
Oh Mae! We are so happy for you! You deserve to find your forever home and you finally have! Happy tails, dear girl! Thanks to Whitney for her loving foster care while you waited!
Mae is a very friendly, loyal, and gentle Catahoula hound. Mae loves being around other dogs, and we recommend a home for her with another dog to help her feel comfortable. She would also do best in a home without cats (though she may be fine with cats when given time to get use to them).
Mae would love a job, in addition to being your companion. Mae’s former owner told us that she is trained for sit (pointer finger), lay down (closed fist), and stay (palm open), but stay needs work, and she hasn’t worked cattle yet. Mae walks easily on a leash and...
Reba is a lovely young lady of 6 months. Reba is spayed, vaccinated, crate trained, super sweet, and looking for her forever home! What more do you want? She also seems to get along with other dogs. Please contact Carol at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to meet Reba!
We would like to introduce you to Wes. Wes came to us from the Roanoke Regional Center for Animal Care and Protection. They were at capacity, and luckily we were able to take Wes to help make room for additional dogs.
When you first meet Wes (~1.5 yrs old), a few things become obvious....
1st, he's been neglected for some time. He has some patchy fur and scabs we are treating.
2nd, even though he's had a rough start, he loves people. He is about 40-45 lbs and easy to handle. He'll sit for a treat too!
3rd, he will make a loyal companion and loves to be by your side.
Lastly, his sweet eyes will melt your heart.
If you would like to meet Wes, please contact Carol at c...
