Tinkerbelle is a 41/2 month old female kitten.  She is a friendly feral and still a little shy, but she is warming up.  She cuddles when you pick her up.  Tinkerbelle has been vaccinated and will be spayed soon.

If you would like to meet Tinkerbelle or any of our other kitties, leave a message at 540-745-7207 or e-mail info@floydhumanesociety.org.

Xavier may be tiny but he is a warrior!!! This little kitten is so brave — he was abandoned at a dumpster site in Floyd and kept letting people who stopped there know that he was there and needed help!  Finally he is safe and adapting to a life where he is warm, loved, and has plenty of food.

He is in a foster home with two other kittens and loves to play! Xavier has had his first vaccines and is healthy. He is neutered and tested negative for FELV/FIV. Xavier was originally listed as Xena because we thought he was a girl...

Fred was adopted on Christmas Day and made the long trip home to Massachusetts!!

He has a new sister and humans that love him dearly. YAY FRED!! xoxo

**ADOPTION PENDING!! STAY TUNED FOR HAPPY TAILS!!!**

UPDATE (12/3): Fred is starting to come out of his shell!! He's loving the love from volunteers and even started to play fetch!

We have a feeling that in Fred's 7 yrs, he has not experienced much human love and affection. He needs someone to love him, be patient, be slow, and show him that we are not all bad.

We do not know much of his history, we pulled him from a neighboring animal shelter. He was owner surrendered because his owner could not care for him any longer. Fred lived with another dog previously, he was gentle with o...

Felix's Thanksgiving foster experience!

Felix was lucky enough to spend a long weekend and the Thanksgiving holiday away from the kennel. He is really blossoming into a great dog! He'll make a great buddy!

If you would like to meet Felix, please email us at cymoates@gmail.com.

Here is what his Thanksgiving foster had to say about him:

Felix spent his Thanksgiving weekend at my house and, once again, lived up to his nickname: Fabulous Felix.  He was a wonderful houseguest, quickly making himself at home on the couch, which turne...

Clyde's wonderful new family was skeptical about senior dogs at first, but now they are hooked. They said, "If we can get one adopted by posting and raising awareness, we have done our job. Share with anyone and everyone."

Clyde went to work with his Dad for the first time last week and is already in charge of important tasks:

"Clyde here. Just wanted to tell you my week is going well and I’m healing and adjusting well. Life at work is tough and stressful. So many people to pet me and talk to me. As the DEO (Dog Executive Officer) I’m trying to learn new things and wrap my ears around the position. Dad says I have to make the money for bones and biscuits. Hope all the other doggies are finding homes. Here is a picture of me...

Happy Tails for a senior foster! November is adopt a senior pet month. Former foster dog 'Gus' and his new guardian, Carol Porter, were the perfect match. It just doesn't get sweeter than this!

"I am so happy that I adopted Gus (previously known as Phineas). This is the first senior I’ve adopted but hey, I’m a senior too! He’s a lovebug!"

This snugly and talkative gentleman was picked up as a stray and is now in the FCHS shelter. Stay tuned for info updates on Phin!
