Meet Casper the Friendly Pup! - Is Adopted!

May 1, 2019

From Casper's new family:

Casper has become much more loving and is very focused on our family, and will stop sniffing and exploring to follow us if he finds that we're leaving him during our walks. He is enjoying his 40 acres of freedom, and gets to run and play as much as he wants. If he gets out of eyesight, I call him and he comes bounding up almost immediately - he doesn't seem to like to be far from us. We were looking for a companion animal for Sophie, our dog who lost her best friend a year and a half ago but who doesn't always enjoy other dogs, and Casper seems to be the perfect fit for her. She is very patient with him and enjoys playing and running with him - she is much more active and seems happy now that he is with us.

As a new adoptive family, we all still have a lot of learning to do about each other, but we're glad to have him and blessed by him every day.

Seven months old and good-natured, Casper the Friendly Pup has already experienced the worst a dog can expect: He became homeless. Luckily for him, a kind neighbor helped him. He is now a foster of the Floyd County Humane Society, safely looking for his forever home with a roof over his head. Friendly and gentle, this youngster gets along well with other dogs and loves being with people. Casper is neutered and up to date on vaccines.

If you think Casper the Friendly Pit might be a good fit in your home, please contact at the Floyd County Humane Society.
