Services:

Floyd County Humane Society is pleased to offer reduced cost spay and neuter for your cats and dogs. As an all volunteer and non-profit organization, it is through YOUR donations that we are able to offer assistance for these services.

Please remember that FCHS is structured to help control the over-population of dogs and cats in Floyd County. You are encouraged to visit your local vet for all of your basic animal care needs. A list of local vets can be found at the bottom of this page.

*Prices listed are provided through the generosity of Angels of Assisi and Planned Pethood. FCHS does not set the prices and therefore, they may change without notice.

Spay/Neuter:

 

The Local Shuttle:

Angels fo Assisi drives a shuttle to Floyd the second Monday of each month and offers low cost spays and neuters. The coach is parked in the parking lot of the Floyd Fitness on route 8. Pets should be delivered by their owner at 7:00 a.m. Please bring cats in a crate and if you have a dog crate, please bring it with you.. Animals will go home the same day and be returned to the Floyd Fitness Center parking lot at 5:30- 6:00 p.m. . Note: A dog must weigh less than 70 lbs to be considered for the coach. Other alternative are available for dogs larger than 70 lbs. (click here to read more about the local shuttle option and see prices for services)

* You must show proof of rabies vaccination prior to the procedure (you can bring it when you drop off your pet)

Discount Certificates (income based):

FCHS will pay $25 toward a spay or neuter at a local veterinarain of your choice. The owner must pay the balance and pay for any vaccines. Contact FCHS prior to the procedure to discuss the process to receive this voucher.

 

Vaccines

FCHS does not provide vaccines. We encourage you to visit your local veterinarian to keep your pet updated on all its shots. However, if your pet is scheduled for spay or neuter through Angels of Assisi or Planned Pethood, you can add vaccinations for a small additional charge.
