Volunteer

The Floyd County Humane Society is entirely run by volunteers. We are always in need of help and there are many ways you can help!
All new volunteers are required to go through basic training and complete a few forms. We want to ensure the safety and well-being of our volunteers and the pets that are in our care.

Ways that you can help the animals of Floyd County:
  • Help take care of our cats or dogs. *Please keep in mind that anyone volunteering with our animals must be 18 years old or older OR a minimum age of 16 as long as they are accompanied by a parent, guardian, or another adult volunteer. We do not allow volunteers under the age of 16 unless they are joining their parent or guardian.
  • Donate funds & supplies.
  • www.floydhumanesociety.org/foster1.htmlBecome a short or long term foster.
  • Help plan & participate in events.
  • Assist in website updates and maintenance, create content for our social media accounts.
  • Help organize our programs. We are currently working to grow our volunteer and foster programs. We welcome help getting us organized!
  • Help us research and apply for grants.
  • Become a member.
