Are you a cat person or a dog person?
Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday! If you're feeling generous, you can send some support our way and help us with our new shelter. It's a bit more interesting than your average donation campaign, however. Our shelter helps support both dogs and cats, but you can still pick a favorite (many of us at FCHS have!) All money donated towards the "Dogs Rule!" campaign will go to dog-related accommodations at our new shelter, and all money donated towards the "Cats are the Coolest!" campaign will go towards cat accommodations. Whichever campaign wins the competition gets a $1,000 bonus on top of the rest of the donations, and both campaigns will get an extra $250 upon reaching $250 in donations. For more information, go to the respective donation page down below.

The Floyd County Humane Society has been accepted for a spot at the 2021 Winterfest event! Among other events, many different groups (including FCHS) will be set up at the Floyd Center for the Arts on December 4th and December 5th selling crafts and various other things. FCHS specifically will be running a raffle for another beautiful quilt donated to us. If you'd like a chance to get the below locally made, hand-stitched quilt, meet us at Winterfest next month! The Howl O'Ween dog parade held on October 30th went very well! We had a great time and are very thankful for everyone who came out to show off their pooches (or just hang out!)
We managed to surpass the girl scouts' donation goal of $1,000, with a total of $1,106 raised from the event! Also, a huge thanks to the Bell Gallery, Blue Ridge Diner, Bread Basket, Chateau Morrisette, Cocoa Mia, Dogtown Pizza, Family Dollar, Finn Graphics, Floyd Beacon, Floyd Jewelry, Girl Scout Troop 163, the June Bug Center, Inclusive Lighting and Audio, Lichen or Knot, the Parkway Grille, Pizza Inn, the Republic of Floyd, Slaughters, Twin County Tech, and Floyd XPress Mart for donating prizes and other things to help out with the event! Without their help, the parade would not have been nearly as fun. |
