​Ginger is ready to rewrite the story of her life. Will you help her write her Happily Ever After?

We don't want to dwell on her past, but we will just come out and say it...Ginger was found tied to a tree and starving to death. She resorted to eating pine needles and leaves to stay alive.

BUT most importantly, she is safe now and receiving a ton of love and treats from our volunteers. Since she has been in our care (about 5 weeks now), she has gained about 10 pounds (still needs to gain more). She is so sweet, loving, and trusting. Even though she was mistreated by humans previously, she craves love, pets, affection, and company. We can't wait for her true personality to shine through 110%! We get glimpses of it every day.

Ginger should be an only dog (no cats; unknown with children). She needs to know she is cared for and loved and in a home where she is not left alone 8+ hours a day. And because she was nearly starved to death, food is very important to her and she will likely have a strong food draw for the rest of her life. Her forever home should be aware of leaving any edibles within reach or smell. If you give her a treat, she will not hesitate for a second to take it!
