The Floyd County Humane Society is offering a $600 reward for any information leading to the conviction of the assailant who injured Otis. Please help us stop this assailant from hurting another animal! Otis is a stray cat, but friendly neighbors regularly fed and cared for him. One day in June, they found him with a dart impaling his abdomen. This type of dart is uncommon and if you recognize it, may help us find the assailant. This "miracle kitty" is doing much better now and is even eating, thanks to our community's generosity. Contributions cover Otis' surgeries (by Dr. Jacob Nicolo), his ongoing medical care as well as the reward fund. If you have any information about who hurt (or tried to kill) this sweet, affectionate and very innocent cat please contact Animal Control at 540-745-9365.
