Volunteer Highlights: Sara Dulaney and Sarah Sowers

The Floyd County Humane Society featured Sara Dulaney and Sarah Sowers as volunteers of the month during 2020. This blog wasn't very active then, so we'd like to quickly share what makes them so great!

​Sara Dulaney and her family operate the local business Dulaney's Greenhouse, and have been fostering kittens there since 2018. She is also known as a "cat whisperer," and has transformed many feisty cats into sweet, cuddly purr-boxes, not to mention how good it is for kittens to be exposed to so many people every day at the greenhouse, prompting many adoptions (and socialization.)

​Sarah Sowers has been heavily involved in our organization for many years. She serves on the FCHS board and dog committee, fosters many animals, consistently takes care of shelter dogs and donates a lot to fundraisers. According to Sarah, she volunteers with FCHS because of her love for animals and desire to give back to her community.
