Do you have a barn or a similar outdoor building? If so, you may want to consider adopting one (or more!) of our many barn cats looking for a home.
Barn cats are cats that don't feel comfortable around humans, whether it be because they are feral or for other reasons. They are considerably easier to take care of than your average house-cat, needing only a permanent outdoor shelter, food, and water for them to eat and drink. As stated earlier, they might never warm up to you, but they will probably keep the building they're living in free of rodents and other small, invasive creatures. Because your barn cats won't have much social interaction, we recommend adopting two or more so they can do cat things together (they can also help keep each other company during the winter.) Some cats already have a companion they are comfortable with, which is also a good reason to adopt more than one. It won't be much more difficult to care for them because of how independent from humans they are. Most of our barn cats are free, and they are spayed, neutered, and rabies vaccinated. If you're interested in giving one or more of them a home, please email us at [email protected] or call us at 540-745-7207 for more information.
